CLASSICAL COSMETICS ZURICH

Classic cosmetics range from facial treatments, waxing to manicures and pedicures. We will briefly introduce you to these three cosmetic treatments and look forward to welcoming you to our cosmetic studio in Zurich!

FACIAL TREATMENT

The treatment begins with a facial toner, which thoroughly cleanses and soothes the skin. Then we do a visual assessment and analyze your skin structure. In subsequent treatments, we only use products that meet the needs of your skin.

The topmost cell layer of the skin is peeled off and the pores opened. We professionally remove impurities from the skin. Of course, cleaning is a little uncomfortable, but all other parts of the treatment are relaxing. After a thorough cleansing, the skin looks forward to using valuable active ingredients in combination with ampules and intensive masks that are suitable for your skin type.

You can now close your eyes, take a nap or just enjoy yourself for a relaxing massage. With a nourishing cream at the end of the treatment, you will feel reborn!

WAXING

Waxing tries to pull the hair out of the root. Together with the hair roots, the individual hair stuck in the warm wax is torn off neatly. This enables consistent and long-lasting results and has a great effect.

MANICURE / PEDICURE

Manicure in the cosmetics industry is the care of hands and nails. It is usually provided by any beauty salon or nail salon (including Backstage Beauty in Zurich) and includes treatments such as hand care, nail cutting and filing. The remnants of the cuticle are also pushed back in order to maintain a healthy nail bed.

With a pedicure it starts similar: first, like a manicure, you get a foot bath. The callus is then removed, and the nails shortened and filed. To remove the cuticle, the skin needs to be soft so that it can be easily pushed back. If you like color, the nails will be painted and shaped to your liking

APPARATUS COSMETICS / Gerätekosmetik

Many people are probably not familiar with the term “apparatus-based cosmetics”. This is understood to mean certain cosmetic applications with high-quality products and medical equipment. There are three effects that can be achieved with this type of treatment: depth effectiveness, long-lasting and an immediately visible result. The reason for these advantages is the synergy effect – because the equipment can intensify the cosmetic effect of the treatments. In this article, we will introduce you to some types of cosmetic equipment.

MICRODERMABRASION

The top layer of skin is gently removed with a device – this is the treatment for microdermabrasion. This is done with a kind of grinding device made of sand, which is removed with a sponge or diamond. During microdermabrasion, small flakes of skin are suctioned off at the same time.

There are several methods:

• Microdermabrasion with sand
• Diamond microdermabrasion
• Microdermabrasion with water

MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is a non-surgical treatment. It helps with aesthetic skin problems such as wrinkles, stretch marks, acne and scars. With this type of apparatus-based cosmetics, the skin is pricked lightly with small needles and a fitted derma roller or an electric dermapen. This creates tiny holes in the deeper layers of the skin. Then care products are used, which then penetrate the skin better and are therefore much more effective than before.

MICROBLADING

Microblading has become a very popular alternative to permanent make-up and is mainly used for drawing eyebrow hairs. Color pigments are incorporated into the skin. A machine is used for permanent make-up, but not for microblading – each hair is worked into the skin individually by the beautician.

PERMANENT MAKE UP

You can think of permanent make-up as a kind of tattoo. The name “Tattoo Make-up” is also often used here. However, there is a difference – unlike a normal tattoo, permanent make-up uses very thin needles. This blocking system ensures that only the upper skin is stung. Therefore, the make-up fades after a while and has to be freshened up again – similar to microblading
